Her work has been represented in exhibitions and galleries throughout New York and New England. “My work is influenced by the shifting character of life and seemingly mundane patterns that surround us. It’s a very tactile, meditative process.” Robin owns Luckystone Feltworks Studio in the Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, New York. She has taught feltmaking throughout the US and Australia. Healing From Within: Freedom from the Trap of Emotional Eating Instructor
Stacey Morris is a self-described Recovering American who had struggled with weight and self-esteem issues for most of her life. Raised during the 70’s when there were few options for children with weight issues other than a steady course of shame and one deprivational diet after another, Stacey’s weight continued a steady climb before reaching an all-time high of 345 pounds in 2009. It was a wake-up call in many ways. She knew changes were in order, but they could not feel like a diet. Stacey wanted long-term habits she could live with. Working with a nutritionist, she gave up gluten and cow-dairy, ate more unprocessed foods, and also began paying attention to hunger cues and emotions that drove her to overeat. Unlike all previous diets, which were an unpleasant struggle and yielded no significant results, Stacey saw her weight drop and her energy levels rise while embracing this new approach to food and eating. She maintains there’s on singular answer to health and balance. It’s a combination of clean eating, movement, and emotional honesty. But since she still remains an avid food-lover, Stacey knew that in order to maintain a 180-pound weight loss, she’d have to create recipes and meals she’d actually look forward to. Her first book, “Clean Comfort: Finding Peace, Balance, and My Perfect Weight,” outlines her story and how she overcame her lifelong emotional demons which drove her to overeat. And it also contains 75+ clean recipes for soups, entrees, snacks, side dishes, and desserts. In her second work, “Sweet Comfort,” Stacey created 44 dessert recipes made without gluten or cow dairy. She contributes wellness blogs to The Huffington Post and The Times Union and lectures around the country.
