Last year over 100 people volunteered for Wiawaka and logged in about 3000 hours of time! Wiawaka operates with a staff of 1 full time director, a caretaker and registrar, and 8 seasonal staff. We rely on volunteers to help with event planning, facility projects and guest services during the summer.
Every spring (usually early May) we hold a Spring Clean-up weekend to get the guest rooms ready for our season. Mid October we hold a Fall Clean-up day to shut down buildings, rake leaves and do other minor projects in anticipation for the long winter.
Groups are always welcome to come and complete a service project at our facility. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering.
